The following letter is from a concerned citizen. Re: Fire kills six children in Tchula, Mississippi

I would just like to let you know that I am in full support of your pushing for the prosecution of this woman for the deaths of her children and family. As a paramedic in this region for 2 years, I see this kind of neglect every day. I am from Tampa, Fl and to see the conditions that I see here every day is just sickening. I see children that are practically dying and some of the parents can’t even spell the child’s name to sign them into the ER, or even know their birthdays. It is common practice to find children left alone for days while mom and dad are out doing drugs and partying. I think that this is just the wake-up call these people need!
