Holmes County District Attorney 21st District The Honorable James Powell III P.O. Box 311 Durant, MS 39063 Sent Via Fax Re: Mistrial for Angela Williams Dear Mr. Powell, It is truly a sad day; not only for children, but our entire judicial system if indeed the jury intentionally did not reach a verdict in order in keep Angela Williams out of prison. I believe the jury viewed Ms. Williams as the victim rather than the defendant. The victim in this case is not the defendant, Angela Williams. The victims in this case are those six children that will never have any opportunity to experience any of the joys which life has to offer. I am asking you not to give up on the chance of obtaining justice for those innocent children who died in a senseless act of negligence, allegedly cause by their mother. I lost my daughter and only child due to the negligence of my daughters’ mother. It is worth the fight for justice. Our freedom in this country is based on laws. We rely on our judicial system to enforce these laws. Without justice, we have no laws. On behalf of children, I ask you to please give justice a second chance by pursuing another trial. Very truly yours, Jacques Bobrowsky President and Founder, Haley’s Rights
